Won One More Technology Award, Briwater got Remarkable Achievements in environmental protection technology innovation

Recently, the results of the highly anticipated Guangxi Science and Technology Award were announced. The "Biological Treatment Technology for Refractory Wastewater Based on Dose-Effect and Surface-Active Agent Producing Functional Bacteria" jointly developed by Biqingyuan, Guilin University of Technology, Guangxi Beitu Environmental Protection and Water Affairs Group, and other universities and enterprises was awarded the second prize of the Technology Invention Award of Guangxi Science and Technology Award. In 2024, it was approved by experts from the Autonomous Region Environmental Protection Industry Association, reaching the leading level in China. This is another major breakthrough for Biqingyuan in the field of environmental protection technology innovation following its winning of the first prize of Guangxi Science and Technology Progress Award in 2021.

The core innovation of the biological treatment technology for refractory wastewater based on dose-effect and surfactant-producing functional bacteria mainly lies in the deep coupling and precise optimization of the relationship among the function of functional bacteria, dose control and degradation of refractory pollutants, breaking through the limitations of empirical addition and single-function in traditional biological treatment technologies. It has solved the key problems in the biological treatment of refractory wastewater, such as low biological accessibility of pollutants, easy inhibition of microorganisms by toxicity and high addition cost, providing new paths and paradigms for the treatment of highly refractory wastewater (such as chemical, pharmaceutical and coking wastewater).
This technology has over a hundred successful application cases in Vietnam, Malaysia, Guangxi, Guangdong, Xinjiang and other places. In response to the problems existing in the traditional wastewater biological treatment process of industrial parks, such as low removal rate, easy loss of efficient degradation bacteria, and difficulty in meeting standards, through the deep integration of "industry-university-research-application", a set of innovative technology systems centered on "microbial product dose-effect guidance, efficient electron transfer material mediation, and microbial high-density colonization material reinforcement" has been formed. Especially based on the precise regulation of the dose-effect of functional bacteria that produce surfactants, it has greatly improved the bioavailability and degradation efficiency of refractory pollutants. It not only helps enterprises achieve standard discharge of wastewater, but also reduces treatment costs, playing a positive role in protecting the local ecological environment.

The "Key Technologies for Advanced Treatment of Municipal Wastewater and Integrated Equipment Development and Application for Reuse" project, which was awarded the First Prize of the Guangxi Science and Technology Award for Technological Progress by Biqingyuan Company, has solved the long-standing problems in China's municipal wastewater treatment, such as the lack of carbon sources, the difficulty in meeting total nitrogen standards, the huge energy consumption of carbon sources, and the challenge of achieving discharge standards. It has effectively controlled nitrogen and phosphorus in wastewater treatment, playing a crucial role in reducing nitrogen loads and improving eutrophication conditions. This technology uses advanced biochemical processes and nano-ceramic membranes to efficiently retain and purify pollutants in wastewater, achieving long-term high-standard and stable wastewater treatment and the recycling of water resources, while reducing operating costs. The engineering cost reduction and efficiency improvement results are remarkable. This technology has been widely and extensively applied in domestic and overseas municipal wastewater, industrial wastewater, medical wastewater, rural wastewater, oily waste, and slaughterhouse wastewater fields. Meanwhile, Biqingyuan, relying on its deep technical accumulation in nano-ceramic membrane new materials and related water treatment processes, has developed a series of integrated environmental protection equipment for diverse niche markets, with a market share of 60%. The related patent technologies and environmental protection equipment have been included in multiple promotion directories at the national and industry levels.
